The Youth did very well to come from behind away from home with 14 men and beat a useful, running Cwmbran side in an entertaining clash played in good spirit. When two of the restricted Rhymney squad had to go off for hospital checks early on it looked an uphill struggle, and indeed was, with the hosts stretching the young Brewers for pace at times and leading by three tries to two at the break. In a good fightback, though, big-kicking Liam Davies and Company got scores down the slight slope and held off the 'Crows' for a fine win which will do much for confidence and morale.
