BREWERS DOWN HAFOD WITH FOUR TRY FUN IN THE SUN...

Rhymney 31 Hafodyrynys 26

Second hand story from me as I was away, but what a great and apparently well-deserved home win over high flying Hafodyrynys by the Brewers. Largely on top against a full strength visiting outfit who had carried a bit too much up front for Rhymney down there, the bonus point tries came from wings Kyron Moss and Jack Donegan, centre Joey Buckley and a penalty try, Liam Davies adding the goal points. Hafod got three tries of their own but had to settle for a losing bonus point. This is a hugely encouraging result for the mostly young and developing Park side, who impressed the visiting committee and pleased their own coaches. There's a real local derby challenge away at Tredegar Ironsides next weekend!
